BOSTON — A group Mattapan students brutally jumped another student and the teacher walking her home outside the Young Achievers Science and Math Pilot School after school Wednesday, according to details in a Boston Police report.
“We are shocked and deeply saddened by this news,” a BPS spokesperson said in a statement after the incident. “All Boston Public Schools community members deserve to feel safe and free from bullying and violence.”
Police said they responded to a report of a fight outside the school at 20 Outlook Road around 3:30 p.m. The call at the time noted a school staff member was unconscious and on the ground.
