A teacher was left in stitches after a year 11 pupil handed them a hilarious and thoughtful gift - inspired by his own words in class.
Maths teacher Jason Steele says he found himself "holding back tears" when one of his students, whose name is Lisa, handed him a very special hoodie before the class sat their GCSE exams.
On the front of the grey hooded top are the words "Mr Steele once said...", while the back is covered with Mr Steele's own quotes and jokes from class.
Among the classic teacher quotes were dry quips such as "If I could say a swear word, I would", "Quadratics are like my face, symmetrical", and "I might actually teach you something today."
Lisa had apparently been jotting down Mr Steele's one-liners the entire academic year, gifting him the hoody as an end-of-year leavers present.
Sharing a snap of the present on Twitter, Mr, Steele, who teaches at Penistone Grammar School, in Penistone, near Barnsley said: "Got gifted a hoodie from a Year 11 today [sic]. Can't believe the thought that has gone into it. Apparently writing down quotes since 12 September."
One fellow Twitter user applauded: "I love this, how lucky are your students to have someone like you teaching them."
Another tweeted: "That is so thoughtful. You have clearly made an impression on this student which is a testament to the teacher you must be."
ITV News reports that Mr Steele - who has saved every thank you card from students over the course of his 12-year career - was left "holding back the tears" when he opened the present.
The moved teacher said: "I think for young people to say thank you to an adult it is quite difficult to articulate that for some people. Some may just mutter thanks or some may do what Lisa did in a different way.
"I appreciate how difficult it is for some people and when it's shown it's just wonderful."
He added: "It just picks you up. There are very tough points to this job but when you get something with so much thought it really means the world."
