A geography teacher who sent a former pupil £500 and spent around £1,000 on fast food for "vulnerable" students has been banned from the profession.
Roger Towersey, who worked at Ditton Park Academy in Slough, Berkshire, admitted to making multiple payments and sending social media messages to the former pupil. He also confessed to ordering fast food for two other pupils, with whom he spent time alone and allowed out-of-hours school access.
