49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan on Monday gave an update on the team’s injury situation following evaluations after the NFC championship game.
Shanahan added tight end George Kittle to the group of players that was banged up Sunday night. Kittle sustained a toe injury and will be day-to-day in the lead up to the Super Bowl.
Cornerback Ambry Thomas left the game with an ankle injury. Shanahan mentioned him in his postgame press conference and said Monday that Thomas will also be day-to-day.
Not mentioned were linebacker Dre Greenlaw and running back Christian McCaffrey. Both players suffered stingers in the NFC championship, but didn’t have any lingering effects the following day.
It appears the 49ers will enter the Super Bowl with their health intact.
