  • Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were notably absent from Taylor Swift's wedding celebrations with Travis Kelce in New York City, despite being longtime friends and Swift being godmother to their children.
  • During the pop star's rehearsal dinner and main celebration, Lively and Reynolds were photographed hundreds of miles away at their daughter's horse show in Lake Placid, New York.
  • Their absence has been linked to a reported strain in the friendship between Swift and Lively, which emerged during Lively's 2025 legal battle with actor and director Justin Baldoni.
  • Unsealed texts from December 2024, part of the legal proceedings, revealed Swift telling Lively she felt a “shift” in their dynamic and “distanced” from her.
  • The lawsuit between Lively and Baldoni was settled in May 2026, with Lively now seeking $8m in legal fees and costs from Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios.
