Taylor Swift tickets Edinburgh: How much will tickets cost for Murrayfield gigs

Swifties were overjoyed when they discovered that the American singer-songwrite r had added Scottish dates to her European ‘The Eras Tour.’

Tay-Tay is set to come to the capital on June 7 and 8 2024 where she will perform in front of tens of thousands at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium.

Tickets for the event will be like gold dust and many fans are beginning to wonder whether they will be able to afford tickets to the show due to the high level of demand, the Daily Record reports.

Tickets for the European element of the tour are yet to go on sale but the American leg of Eras sold out in a matter of minutes.

Ticket sites faced chaotic crashes as hordes of Swift fans flocked to popular high-profile service site Ticketmaster.

Initially tickets in the States were being sold at prices ranging from $49 (£41) to $449 (£377) across a number of venues in the US.

But fans were often left to buy tickets from resale touts at astronomical prices which has made it difficult to gauge the true cost.

At the beginning of the 20-city, 52-date US stint of the tour, the New York Post wrote an article on how to find 'cheap' tickets for Taylor, taking their information from second-hand ticketing site, Vivid Tickets.

Back in March, ticket prices started from $289 (£227) rising to as much as $1778 (£1398), with prices varying depending on location, as below:

- Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas - $307 to $718

- AT & T Stadium, Arlington - $387 to $990

- Raymond James Stadium, Tampa - $323 to $1374

- NRG Stadium, Houston - $3763 to $1116

- Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta - $466 to $1499

- Nissan Stadium, Nashville - $392 to $1293

- Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia - $527 to $1213

- Gillette Stadium, Foxborough - $650 - $1645

- MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford - $604 - £1778

- Soldier Field, Chicago - $632 - $908

- Ford Field, Detroit - $475 to $849

- Acrisure Stadium, Pittsburgh - $443 to $792

- US Bank Stadium, Minneapolis - $361 - $750

- Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati - $554 - $1112

- Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City - $403 - $728

- Empower Field, Denver - $327 - $849

- Lumen Field, Seattle - $460 - $1253

- Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara - $427 - $1213

- SoFi Stadium in Inglewood - $289 - $954

Judging from the Vivid Tickets website today, prices for the remaining shows have increased even further, with most tickets costing well in excess of $1,000 dollars per show.

2023 has already seen some high-profile performers including Beyonce, Madonna and Bruce Springsteen embark on their own British shows as part of various world tours.

In the midst of a cost of living crisis, promoters and entertainers have received criticism for the high price of tickets, with some shows costing as much as £1,300 despite pre-sales prices being advertised at far more affordable prices.

While there is no way of knowing for sure just how much the UK ticket prices will be when they are released, we can assume that they will be very much in demand, no matter the cost.

Taylor will bring her The Era's Tour to BT Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, on June 7 and 8, 2024.
