One parent, Cassie Thomas, was completely caught off guard by the visit. She was only informed to prepare for a special visitor and was shocked when Swift walked into her son's room. Beckett Thomas, a 13-year-old cancer patient and a fan of Swift's boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight-end Travis Kelce, was thrilled to meet the singer. Beckett even gifted Swift a pair of earrings he made using a 3D printer, featuring his and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' names.
