At times, the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl felt improbable, but with Patrick Mahomes under center, it’s never impossible. After tying up the game 19-19 with three seconds left in the fourth quarter, the Chiefs let the San Francisco retake the lead with a field goal on the first possession of overtime.
The Chiefs faced a 4th-and-1 and a 3rd-and-7 on their overtime possession, but came up big both times, eventually getting the game-winning touchdown from Mecole Hardman. It was the second straight Super Bowl victory for Kansas City and the third since 2020.
Taylor Swift, on hand to support boyfriend and KC tight end Travis Kelce, was absolutely elated as she celebrated with friends.
