Taylor Swift will not headline this year's Glastonbury despite agreeing to perform at the cancelled 2020 event, it's emerged.
The pop superstar, 32, had agreed to headline the festival in 2020 before the Covid-19 global pandemic led to cancellations.
And now, despite many expecting the Shake It Off singer returning this year, it's been reported that she's "politely declined" any advances as she focuses on re-recording her music.
A source told The Sun : "Taylor politely declined when she was approached because the timing just isn’t right at the moment.
"Of course she would absolutely love to headline at some point. It is still on her bucket list but performing isn’t her priority right now.
"She has old albums which she is still working on re- recording and getting those finished is her priority."
While Tay-Tay won't be wowing fans at this year's event, she's left the door open for a future appearance.
The star said: " I wanted to perform in places I hadn’t performed in as much, do things I hadn’t done — like Glastonbury. I haven’t done festivals, really, since early in my career.
"They’re fun and bring people together in a really cool way. It’s so sad. But I know it’s the right decision."
With the full line-up set to be announced in the next month, fans can already expect to see the likes of Billie Eilish belt out the tunes at Worthy Farm, with the songstress confirmed to be performing on the Friday night.
Kendrick Lamar, fresh from his epic performance at the Super Bowl on Sunday, is set to close the festival on the Sunday, while Saturday's headliner has so far been kept under wraps.
Other performers already announced for the huge weekend include the legendary Diana Ross, who has been placed in the Sunday afternoon Legends slot.
She had originally been due to play the festival’s popular legends slot during the event’s 50th anniversary in 2020 before it was cancelled.
Elsewhere, fans are expected to get the chance to see Noel Gallagher, Haim and Crowded House perform.
Following American rock band Nine Inc Nails announcing two tour dates in Cornwall for the week before the festival, fans are getting excited that they will make their return to Glasto 22 years after last gracing the stage.
The show's organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed the full line-up will be confirmed next week with fans already chomping at the big to make their eagerly anticipated return to the shindig.
