Taylor Swift forced to take cover as fans throw objects at her while exiting stage

Taylor Swift was forced to duck and take cover at the end of an Eras Tour show as fans started throwing objects her way. On TikTok, a new video uploaded by one fan - who goes by the username Natashalitle11 on the popular social media platform - captured the moment as the popstar was waving goodbye to crowds of people.

While being escorted off stage, surrounded by security guards, audience members were sent into a frenzy as she passed by them. Fans could be seen shouting at her as she made her way presumably backstage.

Seconds before she leaving the area, objects began being thrown at her from fans who were standing above the walkway she was heading towards. While her security team trying to bat them away, the singer-songwriter flinched and could be seen ducking before rushing to shelter from the falling items.

In the caption of the video, which has now been watched thousands of times, Natashalitle11 wrote: "I was enchanted to (kind of) meet you," in reference to Taylor's hit song Enchanted. In the comment section, she went on to clarify to viewers: "I didn’t throw any bracelets at her. I know people are stitching this and saying their piece."

Many Swifties were left furious as the video sparked outrage in the comment section, and across social media after being shared on Twitter. In response to the small minority of people being "disrespectful" to Taylor by throwing things at her, Rhea said: "Nah they call themselves Swifties while throwing things at her is extremely disrespectful."

Eleni added: "Have you not seen all the artists getting hurt by fans throwing things at them? I’m sure she’s scared of this. Don’t throw things at her!" Thaina put: "She could get hurt, don’t do this guys." Gracie said: "She’s gonna start exiting in the cleaning cart if people keep throwing bracelets to her!!"

Taylor is yet to address the incident. She is the latest musician to fall victim to this bizarre trend of having to dodge items thrown at them while performing live.

Harry Styles was seemingly hit in the face by a flying object while performing on stage during his show in Vienna, Austria, over the weekend. Footage of the moment on social media captures the As It Was singer wincing and covering his eyes with his left hand after showing what appeared to be an object thrown at him.

During her performance at Hyde Park last month, singer Pink was left stunned as a fan threw her mother's ashes during the middle of a performance. In New York City last month, Bebe Rexha was hit by a phone while on stage. She got a black eye and a suspect was arrested.

An item was also tossed on stage at country singer Kelsea Ballerini while she was performing in Idaho, US. The incident led her to temporarily pause the show. Meanwhile, at her show in Las Vegas last week, Adele urged audience members to stop throwing things.

"Have you noticed how people are like, forgetting f****** show etiquette at the moment?" She fumed. "People just throwing s*** onstage, have you seen them? I f****** dare you. Dare you to throw something at me and I’ll f****** kill you."
