Trying to get tickets for your favourite artist can be stressful at the best of times and if you are trying for Taylor Swift tickets, this can be even harder. The pop goddess is coming to the UK on her Eras tour in 2024 and tickets are in very high demand.
Taylor will be performing at four different locations in the UK, including Cardiff, and on Wednesday, July 5, fans waited with bated breath to see if they will be receiving a presale code from Ticketmaster or if they have been put on the waiting list. You can read updates about that here.
If selected to receive an access code, fans will receive an email the afternoon before the ticket sales begin. This email will include timing details and a link to where the on-sale will occur, and your unique, non-transferable access code. You can keep up to date with the latest What's On news by signing up to the newsletter here.

After ticket sales in America caused Ticketmaster to crash, despite Taylor saying she had been assured Ticketmaster could cope with the demand, it might not be easy to get those holy grail tickets. Here are some of the best tips for helping you get a ticket when they go on sale.
Clear your cache
A slow Wifi will not help you get the best place in the queue so clear your cache. Your cache can store a huge amount of data if it's not cleared regularly, and will significantly slow your internet browser. Deleting your cache may speed up your connection.
Get set up on Ticketmaster
Make sure you are logged into Ticketmaster before the tickets go on sale and that your username and password are saved. Also, know what your Ticketmaster username and password are and have them ready, in case they don't save.
Know all your presale code details
Have your presale code written down, in fact, have it written down multiple times. You will need to be able to quickly enter this and having it handy will really help.
Do not refresh your browser
It is tempting. So, so, so very tempting to hit refresh when you think you are getting nowhere in the queue. But don't do it. The queue is refreshing automatically and refreshing will only send you to the back of the queue.
Only use one tab
Ticketmaster recommends that you stay within one browser window to reduce the risk of errors.
Know your bank details
If possible before the tickets go on sale get the bank details of the card you want to use saved on Ticketmaster. If not have your bank details close by, maybe start memorising them now, so you can quickly enter them in.
On a similar note make sure you have enough money in your account to buy all the tickets you want to buy. This may mean asking friends and family to transfer you the money before tickets go on sale.
Team up
If you have favours to call in, now is the time to do it. Get as many people as possible to help you to buy tickets as if one person gets through the queue they can buy up to four tickets.
Dedicate the day to Taylor
This may take a while. So be prepared to give up some time waiting in the queue and don't have somewhere you need to rush off to.
Return to the queue
If you get kicked out of the queue, don't panic. Just stay calm and get back in the queue, there’s still a chance. Good luck Swifties.
