A Taylor Swift fan has claimed the singer responded to a direct message from them on social media after they wrote to her about struggling to get tickets for the Eras Tour next year.
It was recently announced that the acclaimed tour by the singer-songwriter, 33, will visit other parts of the world in the coming months following its initial leg in the US.
This includes Taylor heading to Australia in February next year, with her scheduled to perform in both Sydney and Melbourne over the course of a few nights in each city.
Tickets for those concerts went on sale just days ago and they reportedly sold out within hours of the general admission for them opening towards the end of last week.
Amid them going on a sale, a fan alleged they had an interaction with Taylor, or potentially someone in the singer's camp after allegedly sending a message on social media.
The fan, Amina, took to TikTok a few days ago to share an alleged exchange between their account and Taylor's verified account on Instagram, seemingly from last week.
Amina's message seemed to suggest that promoters Frontier Touring were giving updates on ticket availability on social media but that their advice wasn't reflected on ticket website Ticketek.
Amina wrote: "Hey Taylor, Australia tickets are on sale at the moment. And I don't know if you're aware but there has been promotions on Twitter getting a message out to let people know there is actually limited spaces available in Sydney and only tickets available on the Sunday night.
"But on the actual Ticketek website, it is saying general public is on sale for Sydney, on the website it doesn't say that. Many of us are missing out on tickets due to this. Just letting you know about this inconvenience. Thank you, can't wait to see you with us in Australia".
They expressed surprise over allegedly receiving a message back - purportedly from Taylor's verified account - which read: "Hey Amina, I can get my team to look into it."
"I'd like to give every one of my fans an opportunity to see me live - I can see why this could be an issue. Sorry so-so-so much. Love you, hope to see you in Sydney," it ended.
Amina later issued a follow-up about the situation and expressed disappointment to their followers, saying they didn't end up getting tickets for the Eras Tour in Australia.
It was announced shortly after tickets went on general sale that they had sold out, with the news confirmed by promoters Frontier Touring on social media just days ago.
And a statement on the Ticketek page for Taylor's the Eras Tour now states: "All general tickets, VIP and hotel packages for [the tour] in Sydney and Melbourne are now sold out!"
