After stealing the spotlight during her appearance at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 3, pop music star Taylor Swift is expected to be in the stands when the Chiefs take on the Jets in Week 4 on Sunday, Oct. 1.
According to Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports, Swift is expected to attend the game in person in order to support star tight end Travis Kelce.
The game, which will be in primetime on Sunday Night Football, is set to be aired by NBC and could receive a significant ratings boost if Swift is in attendance.
According to Front Office Sports, Fox’s Week 3 telecast of the game between the Chiefs and Bears, during which Swift sat in a suite alongside Kelce’s mother, Donna, drew 24.3 million views. It was the most-viewed game in the league that week and rated the most highly among female viewers across three key demographics.
That was a Sunday afternoon game, so it’s possible the standalone game in Week 4 will produce even better ratings as the nation tunes in to get a glimpse of Swift as she takes in the game.
