Thousands of Taylor Swift fans across Ireland will find out today whether or not they will get an opportunity to buy tickets for her Eras Tour.
The US superstar added a surprise third concert date for her shows in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium - and will now be performing on June 28, 29 and 30 next summer.
Taylor, 33, is currently playing to sell-out stadiums across America, with such demand for tickets that US Ticketmaster’s website crashed, leading to the cancellation of the country's public on-sale.
Ticketmaster Ireland confirmed that tickets will not be going on general sale. Fans were asked to register in advance if they wanted a chance of buying tickets, and that registration window ended at midnight on Friday, June 23.

Only a limited number of fans will get an access code to the sale. Anyone not selected initially, will be put on a waitlist and might receive an invitation if more tickets become available.
Anyone who registered will receive an email today, July 5. The emails, which have already dropped in some fan’s inboxes, confirm whether they have received an 'on-sale code' or if they have been placed on a waiting list.
Lucky fans who do indeed get that magic email today, will be given information on what to do next.
That email reads: “You’ve been selected to participate in the Taylor Swift The Eras Tour ticket sale, powered by Ticketmaster for the following show(s):
"Aviva Stadium, Dublin on Friday 28 June
"Aviva Stadium, Dublin on Saturday 29 June
"Aviva Stadium, Dublin on Sunday 30 June
"You will receive a link and a unique, non-transferable access code for the sale via email and SMS in advance of the one-sale.
"As a reminder, this link and code do not guarantee tickets, they just give you access to join the on-sale. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis while currently available inventory lasts.”
It's not the end of the world if you don't get that email and instead get one informing that you have been placed on the waitlist.
Those placed on a waitlist may receive an invitation to join the sale if further tickets become available.
That email reads: "You’re on the Waitlist … But Hang Tight.
“You have registered with Ticketmaster to participate in the Taylor Swift The Eras Tour ticket sale, for the following show(s):
"Aviva Stadium, Dublin on Friday 28 June
"Aviva Stadium, Dublin on Saturday 29 June
"Aviva Stadium, Dublin on Sunday 30 June
“Right now you are on the waitlist for your selected venue. There may not be enough tickets for everyone who registered, so a limited number of registered fans received access to the sale and others were placed on the waitlist.
“If any further tickets become available, we may message you to join the sale. Please note only fans who were sent links and unique access codes will be able to join the Taylor Swift The Eras Tour On-Sale. Do not attempt to join unless you receive a link, as you will not be able to purchase tickets.”
What to do next
The email explains: “Stay tuned, if you’re selected to move off the waitlist, you will receive an email and 2 SMS messages. The email and SMS messages will include a link to where you can purchase your tickets, and your unique access code.
“Access does not guarantee tickets. Ticket availability is limited. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis while currently available inventory lasts.
“If you’re sent a link you should join the sale as soon as possible for your best chance to get tickets.
“No tickets are sold before this ticket sale. Beware of ticket listings listed for sale on unofficial sites - they’re not legit.”
