Taylor Swift 's recent breakup from Matty Healy isn't due to his controversial comments.
The short-lived flng between the pair came to an end earlier this month after dating rumours starting forming as the pair were spotted out together.
"Taylor and Matty broke up," a source announced earlier this week. "They are both extremely busy and realised they're not really compatible with each other.
"Taylor's friends want what's best for her and aren't shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship," the source told Entertainment Tonight.
PR experts believe her fling with the 1975 frontman has come to an end now that she's "got her rebound out of the way" following her split from long-term partner of six years, Joe Alwyn.
Many others believe that Taylor was distancing herself from Matty after controversial and derogatory comments came to light recently.
For example, he was heard mocking Taylor's recent collaborator, Ice Spice during a chat on The Adam Friedland Show.
Insiders have now revealed that the Blank Space singer's reason for the breakup has nothing to do with his comments, adding that she was "aware" of the remarks before she started dating him.
"Taylor was aware of Matty's remarks about Ice Spice on the podcast before she started dating him," the source told TMZ.
While addressing the pressure Taylor had from her fans over it, they add that "Matty and Taylor were used to the noise, and simply blocked it out."
It was also claimed that Taylor's timing of the split came at the "right public relations moment."
Matt Yanofsky, PR expert and The Moment Lab founder, told the Mirror: "It’s impossible to know exactly why it happened, but from a PR perspective he served his purpose.
"At the end of the day the Taylor Swift brand must rise above all and without being able to say for certain, I’d assume every public move she makes is meticulously planned by a team of professionals," he adds.
