Taylor Swift is known for including personal essays or poems in her album packaging, but for her latest release, 'The Tortured Poets Department,' she took a different approach. Stevie Nicks contributed a handwritten poem for Swift, which will be the first thing fans see when they open the LP gatefolds or CD booklets. Swift also penned a long handwritten poem herself, placed after the lyrics in the booklets.

The relationship between Swift and Nicks dates back to 2010 when they performed together at the Grammy Awards. In June 2023, Nicks publicly thanked Swift for a song that helped her through a difficult time. Nicks' poem in Swift's album packaging is dated Aug. 13, 2023, and hints at personal experiences shared between the two artists.
