Tasmanian devil facial tumour disease found in formerly disease-free north-west population

A Tasmanian devil found in an area of the state thought to be free of the devil facial tumour disease threatening the species has tested positive.

Local volunteer wildlife carer Alice Carson found the devil dead on the side of Harcus River Road, at Woolnorth, amongst the state's "disease free" population in the far north-west.
