Hello Nottingham Forest fans! Here are the latest news from NottinghamshireLive on Monday, August 29.
Steve Cooper verdict on Spurs defeat
Head coach Steve Cooper was left with mixed feelings after Nottingham Forest’s 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Despite having nothing to show for their efforts, it was a good performance by the Reds at the City Ground. They were twice punished by England captain Harry Kane, but had been the better side in the first half especially.
Lewis O’Brien forced a good save from Hugo Lloris, while Morgan Gibbs-White and Neco Williams also went close during the 90 minutes. Perhaps the hosts' best chance fell to Ryan Yates, who put a free header wide after the break, when the match was still in the balance.
Manager remains tight-lipped
Nottingham Forest forward Alex Mighten could be set for a loan move away from the club this summer, with a number of clubs keen on the 20-year-old.

Mighten has made two appearances for the Reds this summer, starting in the Carabao Cup win over Grimsby Town and featuring for only seven minutes in the Premier League defeat to Newcastle United.
Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town and Hearts have all been linked with the winger after he found himself falling down the pecking order at the City Ground. Forest have added a host of new faces to Cooper's attack this summer, meaning Mighten could leave on a temporary basis to get regular game time.
Target 'forcing move' after match absence
Willy Boly did not turn up at Molineux for Wolves' Premier League match against Newcastle United this afternoon, amid transfer links to Nottingham Forest.
The 31-year-old defender has been subject of interest from the Reds as he looks set to move on this summer. He is yet to make an appearance for Bruno Lage this season.
And the Wolves head coach revealed after his side's 1-1 draw with Newcastle that Boly didn't report for duty. "He was in the squad list and he didn't come," Lage explained.
Reds' hero reveals key factor in defeat
Former Nottingham Forest centre-back Michael Dawson says Steve Cooper's side were 'magnificent' against Tottenham Hotspur, despite falling to a 2-0 defeat at the City Ground, but quickly homed in on the big difference between the two Premier League teams.
The Reds were the better side in the first half but were unable to capitalise on their chances. And Spurs' greater experience saw striker Harry Kane exploit the gaps in the Forest defence to put his side in front after just five minutes.
The Reds tried to respond with opportunities of their own but, in the end, they were unable to avoid a second defeat of the season as Kane bagged a second to seal the win.
Harry Kane makes Steve Cook claim
Harry Kane believes Nottingham Forest defender Steve Cook should have seen red for denying a goal scoring opportunity in Tottenham's 2-0 win at the City Ground.
The England striker bagged the two goals that beat Steve Cooper's side, and could have had another but for Dean Henderson's penalty save. The spot kick resulted from a Cook handball in the Forest box, and Kane was adamant the central defender should have walked.
Speaking about the referee's decision to not send Cook off after a lengthy VAR check, he told Sky Sports: "If that isn't denying a goalscoring opportunity then I don't know what is. I'm surprised with the decision."
Reds told next step after Spurs loss
Nottingham Forest supporters have sent an encouraging message to their team on social media, despite the 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at the City Ground.
The Reds' fell to their second defeat of the season but it was not all discouraging as Steve Cooper's side produced some spells of excellence as they looked for a response. In the end, Spurs' experience proved to be the difference with Harry Kane bagging a brace.
Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson denied Kane from the penalty spot in the second-half.
