Super Rugby Pacific 2026 will kick off next week with fresh rule tweaks to speed up games. (Darren England/AAP PHOTOS)

Fresh rule tweaks will be introduced, targeting slow ruck play and reinforcing the limited role of the television match official, as Super Rugby Pacific continues to crusade for less "dead time".

Five innovations will be trialled when the season begins next weekend, while there will be a tweak to the finals format and the super point to decide tied games will also remain.
