The Taoiseach has invited countries across the world to light up landmarks in the Ukrainian colours as well as green on St Patrick’s Day to show solidarity with Ukraine.
Micheál Martin has asked the Department of Foreign Affairs to reach out to diplomatic missions to request that we use St Patrick’s Day as a platform to show support to war-torn Ukraine.
It will be up to each individual mission on whether they incorporate the colour green to mark St Patrick’s Day along with the colour of the Ukrainian flag.
