Tanguy Ndombele has instant Lyon impact as Giovani Lo Celso takes applause after Tottenham exits

Transfer deadline day was a busy one at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with four of Antonio Conte's first-team squad heading out of the exit door.

Allowing Bryan Gil to depart for Valencia on loan despite only joining the club from Sevilla in the summer, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso were then loaned out to Lyon and Villarreal respectively.

Finally, Dele Alli was the last player to move on as he joined Everton on a permanent basis after falling out of favour at Spurs over the past couple of seasons.

So how exactly did the quartet fare for their new clubs over the weekend? football.london takes a look.

Tanguy Ndombele

Ndombele made his second debut for Lyon on Saturday when they travelled to Monaco.

Named on the bench for the Ligue 1 encounter by Peter Bosz, the French international was introduced at the break with his team 2-0 down after only 27 minutes.

Ndombele couldn't help the visitors turn the game on its head but he did appear to have an immediate impact on proceedings for Lyon following his introduction as he saw plenty of the ball.

Having a 91% pass success rate with 34 of his 43 accurate passes coming in the opposition half, he also won ten duels, completed his two attempted dribbles and won two of his three tackles in the 2-0 defeat.

Ndombele will now be looking to start when Nice travel to the Groupama Stadium on Saturday evening.

Giovani Lo Celso

Lo Celso made his Villarreal debut on Sunday despite arriving at his new club towards the end of last week due to representing Argentina in their World Cup qualifiers.

Not handed a start by Yellow Submarines boss Unai Emery for their game away at Real Betis, the midfielder did manage to play the final 13 minutes of the contest against his former club.

Leading 1-0 against Betis courtesy of Pau Torres' first-half goal, Lo Celso, who was applauded by the home fans following his introduction, did have a part to play in their second goal as former Tottenham man Etienne Capoue sealed all three points for the visitors.

Lo Celso had an 86% pass success rate during his short time on the pitch from his 21 passes and he also made two recoveries in the 2-0 win.

Bryan Gil

Gil didn't have to wait long to make his Valencia debut as he was handed a start two days after his transfer deadline day loan move from Tottenham.

Playing the full 90 minutes in their Copa del Rey tie vs Cadiz, the youngster caught the eye with a very promising display as he impressed in attack, which saw him earn comparisons with Valencia great Pablo Aimar.

More than doing his bit defensively as well, it was a really good start for the Spaniard after a tough start to life at Tottenham.

Gil was once again named in the Valencia team on Sunday but he couldn't inspire them to victory following a 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad at the Mestalla.

As per Fotmob, Gil, who started in a front two, had four shots on goal across his 90 minutes on the pitch, was successful with two of his five dribbles, made six recoveries and won three of his duels.

Valencia are in action once again on Thursday evening when they face Athletic Bilbao in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final clash.

Dele Alli

Alli will have to wait until Everton's game away at Newcastle United on Tuesday evening to make his debut for the Toffees.

The 25-year-old was at Goodison Park to watch his new team hit four past Brentford on Saturday as he was ineligible for the game after playing for Tottenham in the third round of the FA Cup at the start of January.

Instead, Alli was introduced to the home crowd at half-time alongside fellow new signing Donny van de Beek.
