Investment company Tanfield Group has settled out of court with its former legal advisor Ward Hadaway following a long-running dispute.
The £2.9m no-fault agreement closely follows Tanfield's £3.97m settlement with US lawyers Foulston Siefkin. Both firms advised Tanfield in a 2013 deal which saw it receive financial support for cherrypicker firm Snorkel, in which it owns a 49% stake worth an estimated £19.1m
Tanfield is currently locked in a legal battle with US firm Xtreme - the majority owner of Snorkel - which claims it has the right to acquire Tanfield's £19.1m stake in Snorkel for free. The case is set to go to a jury trial next summer.
