Tamzin Outhwaite has revealed she pretends her late mother is still alive, following her sudden death back in 2018.
The actor, 51, made the admission in Tuesday's episode of Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof, opening up to her co-stars Gabby Logan, 48, and Chelcee Grimes, 29, on the show.
It came during a discussion about motherhood, with the EastEnders alum taking the opportunity to mention her late mum Anna Santis, who died after a heart attack aged 67.
Speaking about her, Tamzin said: "I thought she would always be alive - she'd be the last person to go." She then admitted that she imagines that her mum is living abroad.
She said: "I do still now think she is living in Spain, where she was, and happy. I just think she's there." The actor further commented about this: "I just pretend, in my head."
Earlier in the conversation, Tamzin said there is "never anything you can do right as a parent," with her describing her own mum as both "imperfect" and "brilliant" in her life.
Opening up, she added: "Now all I think is I'd just like one more chat, one more cuddle. And now I realise how she was - the laughter, the light and the relaxed energy."

Tamzin spoke about her late mother during the opening episode last week, with her expressing concern over potentially suffering a heart attack - just like her mother.
It came during the participants' first challenge, in which they were tasked with jumping into a frozen lake - with the group supported by extreme athlete Wim Hof, 62.
The BBC show - hosted by Holly Willoughby, 41, and Lee Mack, 53, - sees the participants take on a series of challenges designed to get them out of their comfort zones.
This includes testing them both physically and mentally, with other celebrities including Strictly Come Dancing alum Dianne Buswell, 32, and performer Alfie Boe, 48.
Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof continues next Tuesday (April 26) on BBC One and iPlayer. You can catch-up on the first and second episodes of the show now.
