Tammy Hembrow‘s fiancé and Love Island Australia star Matt Zukowski has had to get a cheeky (and I mean cheeky) tattoo removed ahead of his lavish nuptials to the Aussie internet star.
Despite the whole thing being a paid promotion, there’s actually a legitimate reason behind why he needed to get the artwork nixed before he officially ties the knot! YIKES.
In an Instagram post, the podcaster revealed he’d taken some time before his wedding to nix a tattoo located on his derriere in partnership with numbing ointment, Numit.
In the video, Matt is seen using the ointment ahead of his appointment, where he’s seen getting some rays to the buttocks to get rid of the ink.
“I’m gonna get my tattoo lasered off today and it’s not in the best of places,” Matt began in the post.
However, what makes the tattoo removal super awkies is that the piece of work was actually his ex’s name placed in a love heart.
You see, back in 2022, the Love Island Australia star admitted to getting matching tattoos with his girlfriend at the time, Genevive.
In an episode of his Where’s Your Head At? podcast, which he hosts alongside fellow Love Island 2019 Anna McEvoy, Matt opened up about how he landed with the bum tatt.
“We were sitting there having a couple of drinks… and were like, ‘Let’s just do it’,” he shared.
“I was a bit nervous, she was a bit nervous… we were tossing up ideas on what we wanted.”
Matt added that Genevive also got an “M” tatted on her wrist, just for the matchy, matchy couple vibes. But what makes it even more wild is that the pair were only dating for two months!!!
“She got that tattoo before she said ‘I love you’ to me,” Matt shared.
“And this might sound even crazier, it was two months into our relationship.”
But adding to that list of things that “sound even crazier”, Tammy herself has a tattoo of Matt’s name on her inner thigh.
Weeks before the pair got engaged in December 2023, the beloved influencer shared an Instagram Story where she was flaunting some fresh ink that simply read “Matt” followed by a heart.
It’s not known if the Love Island star has dedicated another butt cheek to his fiancé, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he replaced the “Gen” with “Tam”.
As of writing, not too much information has been spilled about Tammy and Matt’s nuptials, but it is believed that the pair will be tying the knot this November in Byron Bay.
Some fans also speculated that the pair have called it quits after they noticed the influencers were not following each other on Instagram. However, those rumours were quickly shut down by Tammy who clapped back at haters by sharing an Instagram dump from her bachelorette party on Sunday.
With that being said, I guess we’ll just have to wait for the marriage hard launch on IG before we make any judgements! Fingers crossed they make it down the aisle.
