Tammy Abraham, Serge Gnabry, Victor Osimhen: The strikers on Edu's Arsenal transfer wishlist

Arsenal are once again facing a summer of change with a number of areas in need of strengthening in the transfer window. Last summer's £140million renovations worked a treat but the Gunners will want to keep on moving forward with another round of excellent purchases.

Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale, Martin Odegaard and Takehiro Tomiyasu were all brought in and have all had a huge part to play in Mikel Arteta's push for a Champions League place. With five matches left to play they sit in fourth place and remain in pole position to finish the campaign there.

Striking reinforcements are likely to be the priority after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's January departure and with both Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette set to become free agents in the summer, and football.london understands the Gunners are looking to bring in two new attackers. With that in mind, we take a look at the attackers linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Tammy Abraham

The former Chelsea youngster is a name causing plenty of excitement among Arsenal fans. The marksman was linked with a surprise move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer before eventually joining Roma, where he has gone from strength to strength.

In 46 appearances in all competitions, the 24-year-old has found the net 24 times and provided five assists for Jose Mourinho's side. The Daily Star have previously reported that the Gunners could be prepared to offer the Italian giants £50million for the England international as they look to fill a gap at the front of their attack.

Darwin Nunez

The Gunners are one of a number of teams to be linked with a move for Benfica star Darwin Nunez this summer. The Uruguayan has impressed this season with 25 goals in 26 appearances in the league, as well as six goals in 10 Champions League appearances as he made a splash against the likes of Liverpool in recent games.

The attacker is said to be attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United as well as the Gunners, but Portuguese outlet Record have reported that Arsenal are one of the favourites to sign the 22-year-old. Benfica are expected to ask for £56million, according to The Sun.

Serge Gnabry

Gnabry is reportedly eager to leave Bayern Munich this summer to fulfil his desire to play as a central striker and looks set to depart at the end of the season, according to German news outlet Sport1. He has largely featured on the wing for Bayern Munich this season but still managed to score 16 goals and register 10 assists.

Arsenal famously sold Gnabry to Werder Bremen in the summer of 2016 for just £4million, and for the past four years has been a regular in the Bayern side. With the 26-year-old recently claiming he is 'always a Gunner', could a reunion at the Emirates Stadium be on the cards?

Victor Osimhen

Arsenal are one of a number of clubs reportedly chasing Osimhen, a man who has risen to become one of Europe's most exciting striking talents with Napoli this season. Aged 23, he has found the net 16 times in 28 appearances across Serie A and the Europa League.

However, recent reports suggest that the Italians will hold out for around £84million with Osimhen contracted to Napoli until the summer of 2025. It is a fee that would break Arsenal's transfer record, currently held by Nicolas Pepe, so Edu will want to be 100% sure about the deal before pulling the trigger - though Osimhen is said to be keen on joining if the Gunners qualify for the Champions League.

Gabriel Jesus

The latest name to be added to the rumour mill is Manchester City's Brazilian marksman. With Erling Haaland reportedly set to arrive at the Etihad Stadium, reports have suggested that Jesus will move on, with Arsenal and former City coach Arteta interested in bringing him to the Emirates Stadium.

After scoring four goals against Watford on Saturday, it may have become a slightly more appealing prospect for Arsenal fans, although he would not be the first choice of many. Jesus was asked about his potential exit after the game and neither confirmed nor denied the rumours.

Marcus Rashford

Since bursting onto the seen against Arsenal six years ago, it appeared Marcus Rashford would be a big part of Manchester United for years to come. But according to The Mirror, the Gunners are ready to offer him an escape route from Old Trafford at the end of the season.

This season has seen the 24-year-old score just four Premier League goals in what has been a torrid season for the Red Devils, so there is no doubting that a move for the player would be a significant risk. But having played on the left-wing as well as through the middle, he would offer Arteta plenty of versatility in attack.
