TRICHY: The project implementation unit (PIU) of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has completed a study to redevelop roundabouts and traffic islands at three major intersections at the city’s entry points.
The NHAI is planning to redevelop the open space at the Palpannai intersection, the TVS Tollgate junction and the Mannarpuram intersection at a cost of 1.2 crore. These spots serve as primary entry points for the people approaching the city from Chennai, Thanjavur, Pudukottai and Madurai.
