Tamil Nadu: Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption registers FIR against Aavin dairy plant official

COIMBATORE: The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) on Monday searched at the Aavin dairy plant at Perur Pachapalayam and seized Rs 8.4 lakh from the car and cupboard of senior factory assistant A Krishnamurthy. Acting on a tip-off, DVAC additional superintendent of police Dhivya and team searched at the Aavin dairy plant at Pachapalayam on Monday evening. The officials searched a car belonging to Krishnamurthy and seized Rs 5.9 lakh from it. The sleuths also checked his cupboard at his office and found Rs 2.5 lakh unaccounted money. DVAC sleuths registered an FIR against Krishnamurthy under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act on Tuesday.
