Residents in Droylsden and Audenshaw are waking up to little or no water after a burst water main is affecting supply in the area.
It comes after a burst water main flooded railway tracks between Tameside and Manchester yesterday evening (1 September), causing 'severe delays'.
United Utilities confirmed to a resident that the leak at the rear of Lord Lane is now responsible for leaving households without water, and said their team would be in the area 'as soon as possible' to get it fixed.

The incident is thought to be affecting the M40/M43 areas, with local businesses telling the Manchester Evening News they've been forced to shut until the leak is repaired.
Twinkle Star Pre School in Droylsden have posted on their Facebook page this morning assuring parents that they have 'lots of bottled water, hand sanitiser and baby wipes to hold us for a couple of hours'. But they are warning they may have to close this afternoon if the leak is still ongoing.
Chantelle McGlynn, from Central Cafe & Sweet Creations, has had to tell customers that she can't open her Droylsden cafe as they have 'no water'.
In a text to residents, United Utilities said: 'We're sorry if you are experiencing no water or low water pressure right now. A leak has been spotted and reported to us at the rear of Lord Lane and we can confirm this is the cause of the problem.
"We're on with it and our team will be in the area as soon as possible to get this fixed. We hope to have things back to normal as soon as possible."
Posting in local Facebook groups last night, Cllr Charlotte Martin, who represents Audenshaw, said: "We have been notified of a burst water main which is flooding the Network Rail lines from Tameside to Manchester.
"It appears that the leak is located behind Lord Lane, Audenshaw and water is travelling towards Ashburys, Manchester. (Information of Fairfield Station impact below)
"At present the water supply to residents/ businesses are ok however this may change during repair and may affect some Tameside Residents/ businesses. Updates to follow if this is the case.
"Updates to follow to the public around any necessary road diversions and further impact on train services as necessary."
