Rising song stars have been given the chance to record their very own music track.
Prestwick performer Scott Nicol headed for Crosshill Primary to work with pupils on writing and recording their song.
The track, entitled Smile Forever, aims to capture the school’s values and its own video is set to be released later this month.
Scott said: “I want to thank the brilliant Ian Matchet for his expertise in setting up, recording and mixing the track.
“The head teacher Mrs Devlin even sang (wonderfully) on the recording and Mrs Pringle and Miss Jess really added to the lyrics of the song.
“We tried to write incorporating the school’s value’s and the pupils were so engaged right from the start.
“The ideas flowed and we quickly had the song that became ‘Smile Forever’.
“This is a song with optimism and sunshine…perfect for summer.
“I love the message of the track, to be an encouragement to someone and lift them up.
“The pupils sang together as a choir and we got a few soloists too and some pupils even recorded percussion on the track.
“I must say I loved the experience, the pupils were very creative and even designed the artwork.”
The track is now available for download on all good platforms with potential radio play to follow and the launching of the video set for later in April.
