Talented Renfrew dancing superstars are heading to USA for competition

Proud members of a Renfrew dance school are representing Scotland stateside as they head to America.

Jazzle Dazzle Studios has had a magnificent season and will travel to the International Dance Summit in Orlando.

The dancers, ages ranging from primary four to sixth year in high school, are excited and looking forward to travelling to the USA in April next year.

The five different dance bids that they received are for mini jazz, junior lyrical, senior prom, senior jazz, and international open lyrical which is a great achievement as a mini team was one of those selected and it is unusual for a younger aged dance group to be this successful.

Jackie Bryceland, 39, Principle at Jazzle Dazzle Dance Studios, said: “This season we had one team who travelled to the USA and we placed seventh in the world and first in the nation which was a huge achievement for our first time at the prestigious event.

“We hope to do as well when we return in 2023. The events take place in Walt Disney World and Universal Studios - it’s every child’s dream to be this successful and have this experience.”

The talented team of dancers are planning on doing some fundraising ahead of their trip.

Some of the fundraising they are looking to do in the near future includes race nights and themed nights. They will also be holding coffee mornings and are looking to do several sponsored events.

Jackie continued: “I’m just extremely proud, I have high expectations for these kids because their talents are incredible. I truly believe they will do remarkably well in the USA.

“It wouldn’t have been manageable without the coaching and support from my fellow colleagues Michelle Holmes and Rachel Bryceland, who also had a huge impact on the choreography of these routines.

“We are so lucky to have this amazing opportunity but they have worked so hard for it and absolutely deserve it.”

The dance group are also looking for new dancers to join and are currently enrolling for more talented youngsters to start performing at Jazzle Dazzle.
