Talented Lanarkshire primary pupil wins national design competition with endangered animal drawing

A creative Lanarkshire pupil has beat off stiff competition from tens of thousands of kids from all across the UK to win a design competition for the charity Living Streets.

Mossneuk pupil James Lundy was named January's winning artist for his drawing of an endangered animal. James' effort will be turned into collectable badges for thousands of pupils nationwide to earn when they walk to school.

The delighted 11-year-old said: "I chose to draw an otter because it is one of my favourite animals and it is in danger.”
