Takeaways and highlights from first half of Eagles’ Week 6 matchup vs. Jets

The Eagles and Jets are without All-Pro cornerbacks and critical personnel at several positions, but both teams have made some plays during a hard-fought first half.

Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was 11-21 passing for 96 yards, while Philadelphia held Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook to a combined six carries for 16 yards.

Jordan Davis logged three tackles, one half a sack, and one quarterback hit playing in relief of injured teammate Jalne Carter.

With the second half underway, here are takeaways and highlights from a tightly played first half.

Starting linebackers remain the same

Even with Nakobe Dean returning to the lineup, the Eagles are went with Nicholas Morrow and Zach Cunningham at the linebacker position against the Jets.

We’ll monitor how many snaps Deans gets overall.

Lane Johnson exits

The All-Pro right tackle exited the matchup with an ankle injury.

D'Andre Swift role reversal

Swift had 5 carries for 7 yards in the first half, but responded in others ways, logging six catches for 35 yards and a touchdown.

Jalen Hurts

Hurts hooked up with D’Andre Swift for a nine yard touchdown. The Eagles have passed the ball 25 times (Hurts 18-for-25, 172 yards), run only 10 times (for 21 yards). They lead 14-9.

The 31st career rushing touchdown for Hurts tied him with Josh Allen for the 2nd-most by a QB through his first 4 seasons in NFL history.

A.J. Brown had another monster first half and is now 11 yards away from eclipsing 100 receiving yards for his fourth consecutive game.

Eagles defense stout after turnover

Philadelphia saw that streak snapped after Greg Zuerlein nailed one of his three first half field goals.
