KURUKSHETRA: Haryana police stopped a team of Punjab police near Khanpur Kolian village on the National Highway (NH) 44 (GT Road) at about 11 am on Friday, which was on its way to SAS Nagar district in Punjab after arresting Bharatiya Janata Party's Delhi-based leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga.
As per the reports, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) national secretary Bagga was arrested by a team of Punjab police led by SAS Nagar (rural) superintendent of police (SP) Manpreet Singh at about 9am from his residence in Janakpuri, Delhi on Friday. Bagga was arrested in connection with a case registered against him on April 1, on the complaint of AAP leader Sunny, allegedly for his provocative statements, spreading rumours and attempting to create religious and community enmity.
Sunny's complaint referred to Bagga's remarks on March 30, which he made during the BJP youth wing protest outside Kejriwal's residence in Delhi. Bagga had also allegedly threatened Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.
