Tai ‘Bam Bam’ Tuivasa Announces His Return To UFC After Lengthy Hiatus

Western Sydney knock-out artist & The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition champ, Tai ‘Bam Bam’ Tuivasa, has officially confirmed his return to the octagon after a lengthy break from the sport.

Whilst ushering in a new era of sport and entertainment to Australia with RunNation, the pro athlete confirmed that he will be returning to UFC as early as February 2026.

“It hasn’t been announced, but I’m actually fighting in February, so I’m getting ready for that,” Bam Bam told Pedestrian Sport.

While he hasn’t revealed who he will be fighting, he jokingly said he hopes his mystery opponent “can’t fight”.

Bam Bam’s upcoming fight comes after he announced a break from UFC following a five-fight losing streak. His last fight took place on August 18, 2024, where he lost to Jairzinho Rozenstruik on a split decision.

However, in a happier turn of events — ahead of his return to the cage — Bam Bam and his brother, Logan Tuivasa, famously won The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition a month later, where they copped a ton of dosh for their chosen charity, Sydney Regional Aboriginal Corporation.

Alongside his long-awaited return to UFC, Bam Bam has also teamed up with entrepreneur Tremaine Fernandez to introduce RunNation, a new global hybrid sport that’s been backed by Brain 4 Life, a neurological health organisation focused on concussion research and CTE prevention.

I’ve been in some of the toughest fights in the world. I love the adrenaline, the hits, the energy from the crowd. RunNation gives athletes and fans that same rush. It’s built for excitement, and it’s built to last,” Bam Bam says of RunNation.

The new sport is expected to launch in 2026.
