TAHE escalates Broadmeadow loco subdivision after council plea to withdraw

City of Newcastle has slammed a state government agency for escalating a subdivision plan at Broadmeadow after the council requested it be withdrawn due to feared impacts on a planned overhaul in the suburb.

The Transport Asset Holding Entity (TAHE) lodged plans in November 2022 to subdivide land at 35 Cameron Street around the Broadmeadow Locomotive Depot, behind Hunter School of the Performing Arts.
