Manchester United are currently in the process of deciding on their next manager, with a number of candidates being interviewed. The Manchester Evening News understands the club has interviewed Ajax manager Erik ten Hag about the vacancy and although talks went positively, they want to complete the process before making any final decisions.
The United fan base seems to massively favour Ten Hag over any of the other potential candidates. In a survey carried out with the MEN readers, 21,000 replies were received and 64.7 per cent of them wanted the Dutch manager to be in the dugout at Old Trafford next season.
In that same poll, the fans made it clear what they thought of the other frontrunner Mauricio Pochettino. Only 6.3 per cent of fans selected the Argentinian as their next manager, which could influence United's thinking.
