NEW DELHI: Two persons have been arrested for allegedly live streaming T20 World Cup cricket matches on dummy websites for betting purposes, according to a Gujarat police official.
The arrests were made following a probe initiated by the Ahmedabad Crime Branch after complaints were received about illegal transmission, rebroadcast, telecast, download, and streaming of these matches, causing financial loss to Star India Private Limited, which holds the streaming rights.
