One of the best things that Pittsburgh Steelers fans will get to experience this season is the chase for the top spot among Steelers career sack leaders. Defensive tackle Cam Heyward and outside linebacker T.J. Watt currently sit at No.2 and No.3 respectively all time. But both are not only very close to each other but within easy striking distance of career leader James Harrison.
Heyward currently sits with 78.5 sacks which are only two behind Harrison. Meanwhile, Watt is just behind him with 77.5. There’s a real possibility that the Steelers will have a new leader by halftime of the first game.
Once both players have passed Harrison, this will be a great race to follow between two of the most talented and competitive players in franchise history. When it’s all said and done, Watt will be the career sack leader but for this season and maybe the next few, this is going to be the battle to watch.
