Sammie Szmodics is out to prove Bristol City fans wrong after signing for Blackburn Rovers while also questioning the recruitment process when he signed for the Robins.
Szmodics, 26, has made a swift return to the Championship following his relegation with Peterborough after completing a £2.5million deal with Blackburn- a transfer that will add around £300,000 to City's coffers.
The playmaker joined BS3 from Colchester in the summer of 2019 following a flurry of new arrivals but found first-team opportunities difficult to come by despite impressing during pre-season. He made just four appearances in the first half of the season before being loaned to Peterborough in January 2020.
