Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Mikdad arrived in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
He was welcomed at Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz Airport by deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Khuraiji.
Mikdad is visiting the Kingdom at the invitation of his counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah to hold talks about reaching a political solution to the crisis in Syria that preserves its unity, security and stability.
The solution must also ensure the safe return of refugees to their homes and secure humanitarian aid deliveries to various regions in Syria.
