KOLKATA: Showing intent to up their stake in the domestic cricket, Odisha started their 2023-24 season on a high as they beat Assam by 11 runs in their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy campaign opener in an afternoon game at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Monday.
On a track which was conducive to stroke play, Odisha took advantage of being asked to bat first and rode on No. 3 Subhranshu Senapati’s marauding hundred and opener Sandeep Pattnaik’s blistering half-century to reach 226 for two wickets from their 20 overs.
