Sydney's wastewater is going to be used to power thousands of homes with renewable gas in an Australian first trial.

NSW Water Minister Kevin Anderson says the trial at Sydney Water's Malabar Wastewater Resource Recovery Plant will see renewable biomethane deliver reliable and cleaner gas to up to 13,000 homes.
