Sydney Sweeney channelled movie icon Jane Fonda during a red carpet appearance on Monday, after it was confirmed she would be portraying Barbarella in an upcoming film.
Barbarella, a 41st-century astronaut, was first played by 84-year-old Jane in 1968 and it seems Sydney has taken inspiration from the leading lady for her latest look.
The 25-year-old Euphoria star wore a stylish all-black outfit as she attended the Elle Women In Hollywood Event in Los Angeles.
Sydney opted for a long-sleeved leather crop top which featured cut-out panels to highlight her toned torso. She paired this with a matching leather skirt and trousers combination.
The actress wore her blonde hair in loose waves and opted for a minimal makeup look.
Sydney's red carpet appearance comes after she was announced as Barbarella earlier this month.
The film will be based on Jean-Claude Forest's French comic book series which was turned into a cult movie classic by director Roger Vadim in 1968.
As well as taking on the leading role, she will also serve as one of the executive producers on the project, according to Deadline.
Although not much is known about the upcoming film, the 1968 classic follows an astronaut who sets out to find and stop the evil scientist Durand Durand, whose Positronic Ray threatens to bring evil to the galaxy.
The film was a flop at the box office, but has since become a cult classic.
Sydney has been on the rise in recent years, having made a name for herself through performances in shows such as Everything Sucks!, Sharp Objects and the White Lotus.
She is best known for her role as Cassie Howard in teen drama Euphoria.
During a recent appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Sydney opened up about her family seeing her sex scenes in Euphoria and admitted she had naively invited her grandparents to the premiere.
"I wasn't thinking. I was so excited," she said.
Asked how her relatives responded to the content of the show, she teased: "They said I had the best [bleep] in Hollywood."
