Sydney Swans’ Taylor Adams Allegedly Knocked Unconscious Outside Of Eastern Suburbs Pub

Midfielder for the AFL’s Sydney Swans, Taylor Adams, was hospitalised after he was allegedly punched and knocked unconscious outside Club Rose Bay.

Per 9News, police were alerted to Club Rose Bay, located in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, just after 10pm, following reports of an assault.

“The 32-year-old man was allegedly punched in the face by one of the men, causing a small cut to his cheek, as well as being knocked to the ground where he lost consciousness briefly,” police said, per the publication.

“The men left prior to the arrival of police. Police have been told the two men are not known to the 32-year-old man.”

The alleged incident took place across the road from the eastern suburbs pub.

In a statement from the Sydney Swans, the club said the midfielder “was the victim of an incident across the road from an Eastern Suburbs establishment” on Saturday night and that it was working with authorities to identify the alleged attacker.

“Adams was taken to hospital after the incident for further assessment. He was released from hospital at 7am Sunday morning and will be monitored on a daily basis,” the club said.

“The Sydney Swans does not tolerate violence in any form and is working with Adams and NSW police to identify the offender.”

Investigations into the alleged incident are ongoing.
