Heavy rain has continued to wreak havoc on New South Wales, with one Northern Beaches home almost wiped out by a landslide triggered by severe storms.
In footage obtained by 9News, a home located near Great Mackarel Beach in Sydney’s Northern Beaches was almost destroyed after severe storms triggered a landslide on Sunday.
Thankfully, the debris of trees, mud and soil stopped before it could take out the home.
Per the publication, three houses have been damaged as a result of the landslide. However, there have been no reports of any injuries.

The incident comes as heavy rain continues to lash NSW, with the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) warning that severe thunderstorms are likely to produce flash flooding in areas including Newcastle, Maitland, Gloucester, Forster, Bulahdelah and Morisset.
The BoM also issued a minor flood warning for both the Nepean and Hawkesbury Rivers, with more rainfall expected throughout Sunday.
“River level rises are occurring across the catchment, with minor flooding possible at Menangle Bridge along the Upper Nepean River and North Richmond along the Hawkesbury River on Sunday afternoon,” the BoM warns.
According to BoM, about 68mm of rain fell on Liverpool in the Georges River from midnight to 5.15am. Peakhurst copped 44mm of rain between 5:30 am and 4:30 am.

Per 9News, Sydney’s Northern Beaches were issued several evacuation alerts late last night, with Narrabeen Lagoon residents being urged to leave just before 11pm due to localised flooding. An emergency warning was placed until Sunday morning, with the alert now downgraded to Watch and Act.
People who may be in areas affected by flood are urged to avoid creeks and storm drains, and are urged not to drive through flood water.
“There has been a lot of flash flooding which has closed roads, and we anticipate some may remain closed for some time,” SES State Duty Commander Sonya Oyston said.
“We’re asking the community to remain patient, and make safe, sensible decisions to never drive into flooded roads.”
Over the last 24 hours, the SES have responded to 1403 incidents, 743 of them in the Sydney area.
