Sydney FC midfielder Anthony Caceres says his team are on guard for a hungry Brisbane Roar outfit in the A-League Men clash at Moreton Daily Stadium.
The winless Roar are in 11th position after posting three draws and a loss in an underwhelming start to the season, and they'll be determined to break their duck in front of their own fans on Sunday.
More concerning is the fact that Brisbane have scored just one goal this season - against Western Sydney in round three.
In contrast, Sydney have scored a league-high 10 goals in posting two wins and a draw from four games.
Despite Brisbane's struggles this season, Caceres is wary.
"The most dangerous teams are the ones that are hungry for a win," Caceres said.
"They're at home and want their first win in front of their fans. We've done well travelling this year, but every game is a new test.
"The new players have settled in really well (for us so far).
"We've got a great group of people who have each other's backs. We're all embracing the new formation and the season ahead."
Roar coach Warren Moon is keen for his team to take the extra step to snare their first win of the season.
"We probably need to be just a little bit more composed in the final third," he said.
"Statistically, we are number one in crossing in the league and getting into the final third is not a problem. It is just about our quality and choice of decision making."
Moon said he was confident the Roar would have won against Melbourne Victory last week if they did not have goalkeeper Jordan Holmes sent off in what finished as a scoreless draw.
"We gained positives from that performance," Moon said.
"I feel like we are not far off (a win). We just need a little bit of quality and composure in those final moments and a win is not far around the corner.
"Despite the fact that we haven't won a game, if you take out one (a 2-0 loss to Melbourne City) we have been pretty positive in our performances."
Macklin Freke, who had been outstanding when he came on after Holmes was shown his red card, will replace the suspended keeper against Sydney FC.
