Travellers passing through Sydney Airport on Friday faced major disruptions after a staffing-related issue inside the air traffic control tower led to significant delays for both domestic and international services.
More than 100 departing flights were affected, with aircraft either held at gates or left waiting on the tarmac for extended periods. Some passengers reportedly remained onboard for nearly two hours before their flights were cleared for departure.
