Police have released images of a suspect after a “brutal” stabbing at a bus stop left a teenager fighting for his life.

The 18-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times in broad daylight in Westwood Hill, Sydenham, shortly ater 7.10pm on Monday, August 8.

He was rushed in a critical condition to hospital, where three weeks later he remains in a serious condition.

Police say the teen “may never fully recover” from the attack, and that his injuries could be life-changing.

On Tuesday, the Met Police issued new photos of a suspect they want to trace.

Detective Inspector Spencer Thomas, said: “This was a brutal assault and it is only due to skilled medical intervention that [the victim] did not die.

“If you see him, do not approach him but call 999. If you have any information call police or you can call Crimestoppers who will never ask for your name or trace your IP.

“However you want to help, please do call and tell us what you know. Any information you have could be vital in helping us find this man.”
