A sure sign that summer has officially arrived in Bristol is usually the lengthy queues on the pavement outside Swoon. The gelato shop opposite College Green is one of the most popular spots to buy cooling Italian ice creams.
But what if you’re in need of a quick Swoon cone or tub when you’re hot and bothered from all that shopping in Cabot Circus? Well, the good news is that the award-winning Bristol company has just started a summer residency in one of the city’s swankiest stores.
From this weekend and through to September, Swoon gelato is now available at Harvey Nichols Bristol. And what makes it even more special is that it’s being served from Swoon’s very own gelato bike Betti.

Betti is parked up on the ground floor of Harvey Nichols, just inside the main entrance, and it is serving a range of gelato. These include popular flavours such as pistachio, salted caramel, mango sorbetto, chocolate brownie, Amarena cherry cheesecake and the best-selling Bacio (chocolate and hazelnut).
Pat Powell, co-founder of Swoon, says: “We were delighted to be asked to collaborate with Harvey Nichols and to have Betti parked in such a prestigious spot is wonderful for Swoon.
“We hope that Quakers Friars shoppers will love stopping for a little gelato break. We’ll be switching flavours from time to time throughout the summer to keep our Swoonatics happy!”
