A fierce blaze that broke out at a Swiss ski resort on New Year’s Eve has killed 40 people and injured 119, police confirmed at a press conference on Friday.

The tragedy occurred in the early hours of Thursday at Le Constellation bar in the Alpine ski resort of Crans-Montana.
